Your privacy matters to Chauffly. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use our website, rider app, driver app, and corporate dashboard.

This policy applies to Chauffly Mobility Technologies Limited ("Chauffly," "we," "our," or "us") and covers information processed through:
- Chauffly Rider mobile application
- Chauffly Driver mobile application
- Chauffly Admin and Corporate dashboards
- Chauffly marketing website and customer support channels
2. Information we collect
Account and identity data: name, phone number, email address, password hash, profile photo, date of birth, gender, and role type.
Verification data: government-issued documents, driver KYC records, license details, document status, and manual verification history.
Trip and location data: pickup and drop-off addresses, coordinates, route data, stop points, trip timestamps, distance, duration, and live driver location during active rides.
Payments data: wallet transactions, payment method metadata, gateway references, invoices, and settlement records. We do not store full card numbers; payment processing is handled by licensed payment providers.
Device and usage data: IP address, device information, app events, crash logs, session activity, and security telemetry.
Communication data: in-app chat content, support tickets, and notification delivery events.
3. How we use your information
- Create and manage user accounts and sessions
- Match riders to available verified drivers
- Process fares, wallet top-ups, refunds, and settlements
- Provide support, service notifications, and safety alerts
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized activity
- Comply with legal, regulatory, and law-enforcement obligations
- Improve product reliability, dispatch quality, and platform analytics
4. Legal basis for processing
We process personal data where necessary to perform our contract with you, to comply with legal obligations, to protect vital interests (including safety), and for legitimate business interests such as platform security, fraud prevention, and service improvement. Where required, we rely on consent.

We share data only where needed for operations and compliance, including with:
- Drivers and riders participating in the same ride
- Payment processors and banking partners
- Cloud providers, communication vendors, and analytics providers
- Corporate customers for authorized employee travel management
- Regulators, auditors, or law enforcement when legally required
We do not sell personal data to third parties.
6. Data retention
We retain information for as long as necessary to provide services, maintain security records, fulfill contractual and legal duties, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Where account deletion is requested, we apply retention and anonymization rules based on regulatory and operational requirements.
